If Swedac identifies deficiencies in an accredited organization, Swedac will point out the deficiencies—referred to as non-conformities—that the organization must address. In severe cases, for example, if the organization is unable to correct the non-conformities, Swedac may decide to revoke the accreditation, meaning the organization can no longer conduct the activities associated with the accreditation. The purpose is to ensure that accredited entities have the capability to continue their operations. If they lack this capability, they should no longer be allowed to perform the activities associated with the accreditation.

Withdrawn accreditations
Sometimes, accreditations are revoked by Swedac, or an organization may choose to voluntarily withdraw its accreditation. These cases are reported here and stored for three years.
