Sweden holds a strong tradition of developing products and services that maintain high quality. At the same time, changes in the outside world demand the constant evolution of efforts and tools in the quality arena. Quality Country is a collaboration platform for stakeholders who want to participate in and strengthen Sweden’s competitiveness, shape its future as a quality country, and participate in the discussion on quality assurance of Swedish welfare services.
With Quality Country, Swedac’s Director General Peter Strömbäck wants to take a comprehensive approach to quality issues and create awareness of the needs of both today and tomorrow.
“The major trends we see with increased globalisation, urbanisation, digitalisation and changing climate create new conditions. It is important that Sweden is properly equipped for this. It will demand that we think innovatively, adopt new technology and new business models, but above all, that we have an open debate at all levels of society. Quality is the basis of our prosperity. In the changing world around us, quality and quality assurance need to continuously advance”, says Peter Strömbäck.
During this year, Quality Country will manifest itself in consultation processes and activities aimed at developing solutions to strengthen Sweden’s competitiveness and maintain its reputation as a quality country in the future.
“The idea is to highlight future challenges and to find solutions that can ensure Sweden maintains its competitiveness, especially in terms of exporting. One of the issues I am particularly passionate about is the need to mobilise joint efforts in the form of a national quality strategy, with clear links to international quality work”, says Peter Strömbäck.
