Merih Malmqvist Nilsson appointed as acting Director-General at Swedac

The Swedish government has appointed Merih Malmqvist Nilsson as acting Director-General at Swedac, starting from March 12, 2018. Merih Malmqvist Nilsson will lead Swedac until a new Director-General is appointed.

Merih Malmqvist Nilsson is Deputy Director General at Swedac since September 1, 2012 and Head of Development and Communications since 2016. Merih Malmqvist Nilsson has worked at the authority since 1986.

She is also Chair of ILAC, the global organisation for accreditation bodies in the fields of laboratory and inspection body accreditation.

Peter Strömbäck, the former Director-General at Swedac, has been appointed new Director-General at the Swedish Patent and Registration Office, starting from March 12.
